Current Gigs Just Jazz musicians are performing in various venues almost every night of the week. Because most of these gigs are either for corporate functions, private parties or weddings, the opportunities to see and hear us live are, unfortunately, limited. However, over the course of any given month, Vinson does perform publicly in various circumstances: restaurants, jazz clubs, lounges, etc. Any current public gig that comes up will be posted here for your information (please check back as new gigs are always popping up at the last minute). November 2011 Every Monday in November (except the 7th & 28th) - 11/14, & 11/20 - Domaine Wine Bar, LICJA Jazz Jam! with the Long Island City Jazz Alliance, hosted by guitarist Amanda Monaco and her trio, consisting of Mark Wade on bass & Vinson Valega. The evening features jazz musicians who live in Long Island City and Astoria Queens and any other musician who wishes to come and sit in after Amanda's trio plays the first set. 9:00pm-midnight. 51-50 Vernon Blvd, Queens. Friday, 11/11/11 - Oxygen Lounge, with The Paula Ewin Quartet: Tribute to Julie London, featuring Paula on vocals, Ethan Mann on guitar, Hilliard Greene on bass, & Vinson on drums. 24 Avenue C, East Village, NYC. 7:00-10:00pm. $38 cover for fundraiser for actress, Linda J. Larson. Tuesday, 11/22 - 55 Bar, with the Vinson Valega Group, featuring Matthew Fries on piano, Justin Flynn on tenor sax, Gary Wang on bass, & Vinson on drums. 7-9:30pm. 55 Christopher Street, (btwn 6th & 7th Aves). No cover. Two drink minimum. Come check us out in one of the best sounding rooms in NYC!
